Simmonsigns (UK) discovers Surface Enhancer®

The team at UK-based Simmonsigns uses Surface Enhancer® in their molds to eliminate potential porosity problems on their rotomolded products. Their goal is to stop dirt and grime from becoming embedded into the skin of a white rotomolded part.

“Surface Enhancer® from Mold In Graphic Systems® allows us to achieve outstanding results on our traffic bollards and signs,” according to Eric Woodhouse, Export Sales Manager, Simmonsigns Limited.
Using Mold In Graphic Systems® Surface Enhancer® proactively is extremely important to Simmonsigns when competing against other rotomolding companies. Competitors fall behind when they allow the surfaces of their white parts to be exposed, making them susceptible to dirt buildup and dis-colorization. The common pits and pinholes that occur in the skin in most parts that could/will trap dirt and grime, make the part much harder to keep clean.
Surface Enhancer® from Mold In Graphic Systems® is an important tool of the trade for a successful company like Simmonsigns whose market share grows with its understanding of the international market for bollards and traffic signs, Woodhouse said.
“Our technical director discovered Mold In Graphics® over 16 years ago which enabled us to develop our range of tough, durable traffic products.”  Already satisfied with MIGS™ permanent graphics, Simmonsigns next quickly discovered the benefits of Surface Enhancer®.
Simmonsigns’ purpose-built rotational molding facility gives them complete control over many elements of the product range. In-house expertise and relationships with raw material suppliers have enabled the UK based company to formulate high-performance materials for use exclusively in their products. Having the facility and expertise also enables them to develop new techniques and gives unparalleled control over manufacturing of orders.
