PL-S® Parting Line Sealer was developed for one reason…to keep your resin in the mold where it belongs during the molding cycle and can help to:
Form a complete seal of the mold parting line Avoid parting-line gaps Ensure equal wall thicknesses on parts
What is PL-S Parting Line Sealer?
PL-S® Parting Line Sealer™ is a unique polymer compound that resists flow at high molding temperatures during the rotational molding cycle. It is a pliable compound that cures in the mold during the molding process and fuses to the outer skin of the part. The excess material can be easily trimmed away using standard flash-removal tools.
Works well with all rotational molds and helps:
Prevent voids or blowholes at the line of the part Keep damaged molds up and running Eliminates costly and untimely repairs
Fix Parting Line Gaps & Voids
Rotomolders can easily lower scrap rates, finish better products and save money using PL-S, instead of purchasing costly mold replacements.

A PL-S® Case Study
“The part is a three-layer, skin-foam-skin product. We were having hassles with foam blowing bubbles at the parting line.
This resulted in as high as 15% scrap rate. No matter how many bolts, etc. we used, we could not stop the problem. This is a low-run part (50 per year) and the customer was very reluctant to rebuild or build a new tool.”
PL-S Parting Line Sealeron the bonnet mould has made the difference between telling our customer we no longer want the job and running the part with minimum hassles.
